Your privacy and security matter
Alfred is Developer ID signed and notarised so every update is automatically checked by Apple.
Your data is yours; Alfred doesn't track your searches and doesn't share your usage data with us.
Alfred only connects to the Internet to activate your PowerPack license and check for updates. Though we recommend keeping those on, you can disable them if you so wish, you’re in control. Learn more about Alfred and Security
You can back up your Alfred preferences to the cloud service of your choice, ensuring that your preferences are safe even if you reinstall or replace your Mac.
Optimised to be efficient and lightweight on your Mac
Since its inception, Alfred has always been developed to be lightweight, efficient and optimised for macOS. Alfred is 100% native to macOS, and takes advantage of everything Apple offers.
Other apps are often weighed down by bulky third-party libraries, or built with non-native cross-platform frameworks for the ease of the developers above users, but Alfred is and will always be lightning fast as your productivity is the priority!
Simple Powerpack licensing to suit your needs
Beyond the free version, there are two types of Alfred Powerpack licenses available for individuals: A Single User license valid for the current major version (e.g. Alfred 5.x) and a Mega Supporter lifetime license, where you can purchase once and get all future updates to Alfred for free.
All Single User Powerpack license holders are eligible for discounted upgrades when the next version becomes available.
No subscriptions that sneakily change price, no renewals to remember, and no complex pricing matrix!
Here for the long haul
When Alfred was first created, it was built to meet our own needs as Mac users, looking to enhance our own Mac life.
Since then, Running with Crayons, the company behind Alfred, has been self-sustaining and funded by the sale of the Powerpack. That's all thanks to you, and your choice to purchase your Powerpack license.
We are a small independent team, based in the UK and Portugal, and we talk to and interact with our community every single day, working with workflow creators and users of all experience and skill levels. As such, we are able to make decisions that truly benefit the community, focusing on quality and longevity, rather than on lining the pockets of investors who want a quick return.
With every major version, Alfred's features have become richer and easier to discover, while ultimately staying as lightweight and unobtrusive as possible. Our priority will always be to help you feel productive and efficient in your everyday Mac life.
Alfred is here to stay, making the time and energy you invest in optimising your flow and tasks completely worth it.
